Hi 8/5/2015 09:52:41 am
Hi,I'm Tui Yellow. One of my best moments in math class was when i got a 120% on a test when i got every question plus two bonus correct. One of the worst moments in math class was when I didn't have my supplies and journal and i couldn't do anything, I was so embarrassed. My two best strategies in solve a problem is to do it and then do it again to check your work and the second is try to make it a word problem or think about a real live situation. I look forward to learning algebra and more geometry. I am worried about failing and the normally math class fears, tons of Fs and things like that. I hope this years will be fun and enjoyable.

Hi everyone! It's Sophie. My best moment in math were when I got an A in math on my report card. Another good moment is when I get a question right. A bad moment in math is when I got a bad grade on a test. Another bad moment in math is when I don't get a good grade on my report card. 8/5/2015 09:59:56 am

8/5/2015 10:11:25 am
Hello. My name is Duncan Blue (as you can see from above) and I know how to play two different instruments, trombone and piano. My best/favorite time in math class was three years ago when we had the "Multiplication Bowl". My least favorite time in math class was when our teacher assigned loads and loads of homework and I had to stay up really late to complete it. Some ways I like to solve problems is to ask questions to myself about the problem to help me become more familiar with it which then makes it much easier to solve. I also use the guess and check strategy and I like to work backwards. I am looking forwards to learning a lot of new things this year in math class. I am worried about falling behind (not saying that I will, but if) because then I will have to work twice as hard to catch up. I think that will motivate me to work harder in math class this year.
Annie Blue
8/5/2015 10:14:13 am

8/5/2015 10:15:58 am
Hi name is Wills Green. I think it is weird that my last name is a color. My best time in math was when I got a 150% on my test I worked so hard on my practice sheet my teacher gave me a plus 50% My worst time was when I got a 67% on a test I studied really hard for. It made me mad. Two strategies I used to help that were flash cards and drawing circles to help. I look forward to seeing me do some 7th grade math this year. I am worried about having a 85% or higher on my report card but I will do it. Thank you!
Duncan Blue
8/5/2015 10:21:55 am
I worry about the same things ,too!

Hi my name is Zachary my favorite time I had was in math in 4th grade when I got all the questions right in 1min. My fears in math is sometimes I get frustrated because I might not know the question or I might try to rush just to get it done with which made it pretty annoying over the years because I use 2 move a lot so my old grades from my other schools went with me .the only time I really was paying attention in math was when I had 2 do home work everyday at my old school even on weekends I had 2 do homework then my mom signed me up for Xtramath

My name is Tatum and i love math! i have had very good times in math such as when i get a really high grade on a test or a quiz, or just making a breakthrough in a problem. i don't really have many bad experiences in math but i don't like it when you feel like your not very good at a certain thing. i get this feeling when it comes to fractions the most. although we have some bad experiences though we should always try to enjoy math!
Nadia Red
8/5/2015 10:53:53 am

hello my name is simon and i love soccer. My most favorite time in math is when i had the X games for multiplying. my least favorite time is when we took three test in a row. the way i solve problems is to think about it then double check (just in case). my second way is to do my work backwards. I look forward to having fun and don't look forward to test and projects

8/5/2015 10:29:25 am
Hi, I'm Christopher Blue. My best moment in math class is when I got a perfect score on the CRCT for math! A bad moment was when I got a low score on a test. Some strategies I use to make sure I get a good grade are: If I don't think the answer I get from doing the problem in my head is right I always do it on paper twice to double check unless I know that answer is correct. Another strategy is to make it into something sports related so it is easier to understand.
Annie Blue
8/5/2015 11:33:36 am
Wow! A perfect score on math! That is NOT easy! Great job!
Curtis Green
8/5/2015 10:31:53 am
Hi. My name is Curtis. The best moment in math class was when I got three homework passes at once. My worst moment was when I got a 30 on a test because I mixed up multiplication and division. My first strategy is to look over any work you get before handing it in and my second strategy is to read every thing on the page. If it is multiple choice use the process of elimination. I am worried about getting bad grades and normal stuff like that.Thank you for reading this.
Tatum Green
8/5/2015 10:33:30 am
Don't worry Curtis I'm sure that that won't happen again!!!

8/5/2015 10:33:15 am
Hi I am Jovian Yellow. My best moment was when I was first to complete a work sheet and get a one hundred. My worst moment was when my math teacher called the people who didn't bring their HW and made them come to her in front of the class (I forgot my HW that day). The strategies I use are playing jeopardy vs. the computer and playing rags to riches. I look forward to doing 7th grade math. I am worried I will make a really big mistake in front of the class.
Connor Yellow
8/5/2015 10:35:58 am

Scott Whitley
8/5/2015 10:37:59 am
Hi my name is Scott. My best moment in math was when I got first in the Atlanta Public Schools and one of the top one-hundred kids in the country in First in Math, an online math website. My worst moment in math is getting a 72% on a test.
Christopher Blue
8/5/2015 10:43:15 am
Wow! Getting top 300 in the country in First in Math must be a huge accomplishment! Hi friends! I am Iris and blue is not really my last name, as you most likely know. My best moment in math class is when I got a 100 on a test! I got lucky and got the bonus question right when I did not get a question right. My worst moment in math was when it had the worst grade on my report card! A strategy I would use (which I would not use as much) is for multiplying by 9 I would count my fingers, using the finger trick. Another strategy I like to use sometime is rounding for a problem first so that I get get an idea for the answer and to see if I had gotten the answer right. One thing I am looking forward to in math is learning algebra! I am also very worried that I am going to fail accelerated math!!😨😨😨

Hi

8/5/2015 10:51:44 am
Hi, my name is Lulu red and i am very exited for a good year at Inman Middle. One of my best moments in math class is when I scored a perfect 100% on my fractions test. Not only that, but i got a 120% from extra credit questions! I was so happy for the whole rest of the day. One of my worst moments in math class was when I got to class and i realized i forgot my whole project! I was really embarrassed until my teacher and I talked it out. Two strategies I have learned are to relax and be confident and outgoing, and also, talk to someone if you don't know what to do.I really look forward to perfecting my grades and having a good year in math. What I'm worried is that I will fail math! But I don't think that will happen.
Olivia Red
8/5/2015 02:33:19 pm
Hey Lulu! It's awesome that you got a 100 and extra credit and there's no reason to be embarrassed about not knowing about a project. We all make mistakes. You should get a study buddy, they remind you about stuff you missed out on if you missed a day of school.

Hi my name is Andrew and I love soccer. One of my best moments in math class was when I did a project about my past using integers. One bad moment in math was when I had to work with the students on a lower level with me I didn't get to work out of my correct book. Lastly, two problem solving strategies I use are reading and checking over the answers more than once and reading the problem carefully before you begin answering.

Hi my name is Aidan. My worst math moment was when I was when I got a 70 on a math test. My best was when I got my first 100 in math. My strategies are to ask the teacher for help if its not a test. If it is a test do it twice if your not sure. I a worried about Ms. Scott being strict and making a bad grade.

8/5/2015 11:04:49 am
Hey everyone! My name is Kayla Williams. I hate making mistakes. Whenever I make a mistake it ruins my whole day. The most worst moment in math is when I make one huge bad nasty mistake. In fifth grade in the middle of the school year, I had to move to somewhere else and change schools. Then my family decided Atlanta is just the best place for us. After finding a place and moving there, I went back to the school I left. This is when the most worst thing in history happened! In math, the teacher taught the class how to divide decimals and I got back around the time the class fully understood the lesson. I knew nothing about how to divide decimals! That was just terrible for me. The best moment in math class is something that always happens. I'm awesome at math! Just saying. My first strategy is to just take all of what I know and use it to solve a math problem or just about any problem. Second, I remember there are key words in a word problem. For instance,to know a word problem is all about addition you will see the word 'total' in the word problem. Those are my most used strategies. I'm looking forward to getting outstanding grades in this class. I'm worried about making a whole lot of mistakes and being behind. Thank you all for reading! Sorry about me typing so much. Mostly when I type or write anything I tend to get so carried away and type or write down too much. Bye guys and thank you. Type to you soon ;D.

Hi I am Avery, did you know that I was adopted? One of my best moments in math class was when I was one of the only kids in my class to get an A on a really hard test! My worst moment was when I got a 60 on an easier quiz because I forgot to double check my work. A strategy that I definitely make sure to use now is to go over my work to check and clarify if I got the answer right or wrong, so I can make changes. Another strategy I use is to comprehend what you are reading and to think about what you are writing down so your answer will make sense. I look forward to learning new things and equations. I am worried about the amount of homework and if I'm going to be able to manage all of it and turn it in on time! I hope I have a really good year in math class and learn a lot!

Hi, my name is Ethan Green. My worst moment in math was when I got a 76 on a math quiz. My best moment was when I got a 105 on a math quiz. Two strategies I use are always checking over my work and when doing multiplication using division to check it or the other way around or when doing addition using subtraction to check it or the other way around. Also another strategy is to make sure I am using an accurate formula like volume equals lengthXwidthXheight or using the right set up for multiplication or division. What I am looking forward to in math was to learn 7th grade math in gifted math. What I am most worried about are probably the Georgia milestones.

Hi my name is Whit Red! So far my worst moment in math class is when I'm stuck on a hard question on a math test and when I finish that question, everyone else is done with the test, and when I do finish i end up getting a bad grade. My best math class moment was when I got an A+ on a math test. A strategy I commonly use is when I'm working on a math test, I try to focus on what I'm reading on the paper instead off getting distracted of what else is going on. A second strategy I use is when I'm on a multiple choice question I use process of elimination to find out which answer makes sense. I'm mostly worried about getting bad grades in math class because I've been there before, trust me ;) I'm also worried about tests because I usually get stuck on a question and it will take me centuries to figure out. Hi, my name is Anuraag. One of my best moments in math is when I got a medal for math on graduation day. Not many people got that medal. One of my worst moments in math is when I got an F on a quiz. One strategy to use in math is to check it over again 3 times. If you check it once, there might be a mistake in your checking, like you may miss something. Another strategy is to take your time. If you're rushing, you are most likely to make a mistake.

Hey peeps its Honestee! One of my worst times in math was when there was a really important project that had to turned in as soon as in TOMORROW!!! I had forgot all about it and had to rush to get it done. The next day I turned it in and got it back and there was a big C on it. I was so devastated. From then on I stopped rushing for good. Two good tips for my situation would be to not rush and start writing EVERYTHING down in your agenda. One of my best moments in math was when I was in fourth grade and I was struggling on my grades and the CRCT's were coming up. I had studied so hard for it but was still worried. When they were all done the grades came in. Math was my worst subject then so I was worried most about that one. When I looked at my grades I found out I EXCEEDED in math. I was so proud of myself. I'm most worried that I will fail math but I always keep the thought that it will never happen in any of my subjects and that has helped me through school so much. I look forward to exceeding in math.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen, you know me as Cole. One of my best moments in class mathematics was when my math teacher Mr. Braun had written a math equation on the board. After several people tried to answer the question, but failed, he soon realized that no one could figure the question out. Right about when he was going to tell us the answer, I flung my hand up with pride answering the question, no one else could. That was my best moment in math class. One of my most embarrassing, or worst moments, in math class was either when my strict math teacher called on me, when I was daydreaming or I did not do will on a quiz and my neighbor laughed at me. My worst moment was when i was in fifth grade and got an easy multiplication question wrong and blurted my answer out. Two strategies I use to problem solve are working out the problem many times and doing the equation backwards. I look forward to working with Ms. Scott, but I am worried about tripping up on easy questions.

Hi again um my name is Mackenzie. I have always loved math. The older I get though the more I realize that math isn't just a bunch of numbers. It takes a lot of consentration and at times is very hard. To me to make math easier for a big test i study right before I go to bed and right when I wake up. Last year we had a big test about the states I totally forgot about it until the night before. I was freaking out! then I remember my trick and ended up acing the quiz. I hope my trick can help some of you.

Hi my name is William Green. My favorite memory in math class was when I got the best grade in the class. My worst memory in math class was when I left all my supplies at home. I felt very embarrassed. Two strategies I use are drawing pictures or finding patterns. I look forward to learning new strategies. I am worried about not understanding the subject.

Hi everybody! My name is Anna as you can see a blue. My best moment in math class was when I got all A's on three quizzes in row! My worst however was when I answered a question wrong and I let my group down. Strategies that I recommend is don't and double check your work! I'm worried about failing quizzes or tests! I'm excited to learn new things in Math!

Hello my name is Albey red.One of my worst moments in math is when I got a lower grade than others. One of my best moments in math is I got a good grade and I sometimes struggle in math, so I was happy.some strategies in math are guess and check, it's cool because you estimate and then you find out what the real answer is. Another strategy I know is make a diagram and then solve it. I am looking forward to learning more math this year. I am worried about not getting good grades, but I will try my hardest to get good grades.

Hello everyone my name is Brandon ,and I like to be called B.J. My least favorite time in math is when I had a long streak of c's on quizzes. Favorite time in math is when I ended the lomg stream of c's on my quiz grades. One stategy I used is to find someone that surpassed me her name was Hade Lewis I used my anger that I had that she was better than me into strength. When I started doing my grades shot up so fast that i even surpassed her! My second strategy is that I did my best to have a good night sleep instead of just staying up all night. So far I think Ms.Scott is amazing, she gets to the point. The only thing I'm worried about is how teachers change throughout the year . So I hope Ms.Scott don't change ,but I know she won't because she always keep her calm and peace. So far I give Ms.Scott five out of five stars 8/5/2015 03:04:28 pm
That is a very interesting strategy that I haven't thought of Brandon! 8/5/2015 02:01:39 pm
Hey, everyone! I'm Jacoby. My best moment in Math was when I, along with two other students, finished a big project that took a lot of time. It was satisfying to have it done. My worst moment was when on the same project, I had to work on it for hours straight, sacrificing sleep for it. Two strategies I use include degenerating the problem to its roots and then taking whatever's left into account , for example 76 x 8 into [(7x8) x 10 ]+6x8, which is 608, or reversing the problem, then solving it backwards, then reversing THAT to find the actual answer. In math, I always look forward to geometry and fractions, but dread decimals.

Hi I'm Grant yellow. My best moment in math class was when I got a 100 on a hard test. My worst moment was when someone threw up in math class when I was presenting a project. I like using the lattice method for multiplication tables. I also did the Inman packet over the summer. I don't like giving speeches in front of large crowds

Hi, I'm Allyn Green. My worst moment in math class was when we were playing around the world, and on the last person in the circle i blanked out and lost. My best moment in math class was last in 4th grade when we got to make our own version of a book about math. I felt like I did well. Some stategies that I've used that I feel work are to go for quality when your doing your work instead of rushing, practicing at home or over the summer on things that are basic but very important, and always check your work. Lastly, I'm looking forward to learning more on how to divide fractions and decimals, and I'm most worried about algebra.
Dakota Blue
8/5/2015 02:17:40 pm
Hello how are you doing? My name is Dakota Blue. Some of my best times in math are when the teacher chooses me over the rest of the class to show an example of something. One of the worst times in class I've had is when I don't know the answer to the question and I am not allowed to ask the teacher for help. Some things you can do to get work done nicely and correctly are check your work, read the question carefully, and make sure not to go too fast on your work. I am looking forward to math because I think I am going to learn a lot of things I didn't know, The main thing I am worried about in math is that my grade might go below an 85% temporarily.

My name is Evan Green, and I am really exited about being at Inman. My best moment in math class was when in 3rd grade I was the only person in the class who could solve a simple algebra problem. My worst moment in math class was when I got a bad grade on an easy test because I didn't study. two different strategies that I use to solve problems are: 1. thinking about it in a different way. 2. not really thinking about, and just letting it come to me. I most look forward to learning new things in math class, and I am worried about flunking out of math class.

Hi my name is Ja'Bre Red and I'm answering # 5. The worst moment was when I didn't know what I was doing when the told us what to do. Next, when got the lowest quiz grade in the class. The best moment was when I was the only one that had a A in my class. When I was the smartest one in my class. I don't like to speech in front of people. 8/5/2015 02:52:30 pm
Hello my name is Peter. That first comment was just a test run. Math is easily one of my favorite subjects. I have ha several ups in downs in math. Once, in fifth grade, I had an average of 107%! Another time my teacher accidently graded something wrong so I ended the quarter with a 86 G.P.A.! One of my strategies is to take your time. Too many people rush these days. Another strategy is to do the problem twice ( or check it again) if you have extra time. 8/5/2015 02:56:27 pm
I look forward to having fun and learning a lot! I'm worried about getting a low grade.

Hey I'm Olivia! I like Math, It's actually my favorite class but I want to improve so I go to an after school tutoring program called Kumon. It helps me in Math and ELA. Two strategies that I have learned from Kumon is how to count by 31 and 25 and multiply without using the whole method. I can tell I've improved. One of my best moments in Math was when I was at my old school Centennial Academy. My teacher asked a question that nobody knew the answer to. I figured it out and got a prize and passed the test. One of my worst moments in class was when the teacher asked me a question and I had to think about it and I was about to say it but she skipped me and the other person that answered it got it right and got a prize. This year I really look forward to making new friends and acing all my subjects.

hello my name is miranda. math has been my favorite subject since I was in 1st grade. I think that my best moment in math was when I first learned multiplication because it just came so easily.I think that my worst moment of math would be when I fist learned long division because it was kind of tough even though I think it's awesome. My hopes for math are that I get at least mostly A's but if I can all A's

Hii I'm Elizabeth. My best moment in math was in 4th grade. I was struggling to understand what my teacher was teaching me so i wrote down what was on the board. I came back the next day gave my teacher my homework she checked it and said i got every question correct. My worst moment in math was when i failed my measurement quiz. My beliefs for this year is to pass with A's or B's.

Hello my name is Zachary. My best moment in class was in 4th grade when I was on 1min timer and I got all of the problems correct. My worst moment in math class was in 3rd grade I didn't know many math problems because I transferred from Texas. To solve problems I practice over and over again and I go to the Math site to play math games. I look forward to learning about new math equations and I am most worried about failing a test. :) Comments are closed.
